I wonder... do the Russian Knights actually use this model Flanker? I know that the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds use a couple F/A-18Ds and F-16Ds (birds 7 and 8) as spare aircraft incase one of the show birds (Cs, planes 1-6) breaks during the show, or before it.

They do, in most formations they uses the Su-27S (single seat) version.

I wonder do you use Arch&Design materials for the body of the Flanker? If I use it it always looks either too flat or too shiny.

For outside shots do you use daylight system or do you work with normal lights?

Thats all. Looks superb!

Yes, Im using AnD materials. The key is to get a realistic specular texture (painted) in reflection slot.
My lighting uses 1 direct light as the sun, no photometric or any daylight system.

Wow just 1 direct light? Is the backgrounds done in photoshop if you use real looking enviroment?

Also could you share a small 512x512px preview of one of your spec maps? I'm curious to see how they look like. Right now mine always look in the style like this: [link]
